Black Screen of Death Freeze Glitch Not getting better

I have a similar issue with this "Black Screen of Death"

I have both the firestick screensaver setting as well as the Kodi screensaver settings set to never and none however after idling for a little while my screen will turn black, however whenever I go to play a show or a movie I do not have the issue of the show freezing or crashing but instead I have an issue where once this Black screen appears anything that I try to play wont have any sound. I've tried muting and unmuting, I've tried switching which addon i'm using, and trying to fuck with the volume but none of that does anything. The only way to get sound to work again is if I completely close out of Kodi, clear the cache, force stop the app, and reopen it.
