Buffering on Movies, Shows, Live TV or Sports

Post by The Chef »

Buffering tip

1. Live TV & Sports are prone to buffering because their servers are overcrowded -sometimes you get kicked out of the channel you're watching as well. Debrid doesn't work with live streams.
2. You might have 1 Gbps connection and still have buffering even using RD if your ISP throttles RD servers -a solution some of our members use is a VPN. If you don't use a debrid service, you're doomed to get buffering on movies/shows due to slow free servers.
3. Try a mobile homespot to check if everything works, your ISP/router may block sites or even throttle bandwidth at will. Your network may be problematic, unplug device & router for 5 minutes.
4. Call your ISP, make them do a full check on your network, mention Kodi (it's still legal), and do unplug device & router for 5 minutes -it properly resets your network no matter how slow or fast it is.
5. If you don't use a debrid service or you have a slow network connection, restrict your addons to show only 1080p or 720p and lighter streams to avoid buffering. Try non-debrid 1 Click sections of addons like Asgard as well.
6. If you're using a shield, try toggling ipv6 settings.
7. If you're using Nord VPN or another VPN, you might try switching protocol to udp.
