Help with Arcade Please!!

Hey guys! Im new here and I have searched everywhere for this issue, which is kind of miniscule ill admit. I love this build, and one of the added perks (for me at least) is the Arcade. I have Kodi running on an Onn 4k Pro streaming box from Walmart. It is running an android OS. I have my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connected to the streaming box via Bluetooth. When I try to play a game, it closes Kodi... because I can use my Xbox controller to navigate my streaming box also. I have searched through all of the menus on my streaming box and I cannot for the life of me figure this out! I need my controller to NOT control my streaming box, but to be isolated to kodi alone... any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

What game system are you attempting to play? Your controller has to be connected to your streaming box in order for it to work in Kodi.
